Mansfield: China Won't Intervene
WASHINGTON (UPI) --Senate Democratic Leader Mike Mansfield said Sunday that Communist China would not intervene to help find a peaceful settlement to the Vietnam War.
"They do not believe -and they emphasized this many times -in intervening in the affairs of other countries. So we can anticipate no help from the People's Republic of China in bringing about a settlement of the Indochina war," said the Montana lawmaker.
